As we grow older we may become a little sentimental, nostalgic, and/or out of touch. But there is a certain age when we realize that the more things change the more they remain the same. An example of this is the Mix Tape aka the Playlist.
The playlist/mix tape, whether digital or analog, is an act of creativity. This exercise of self-expression created with tapping fingers or by pressing play & record allows us to be DJ, critic, and creator. Whether it is posted on a streaming platform or it’s an analog tape given to a friend we are sharing a little bit of what we love.
